Friday night.
December writing prompt #2:
Baby snuggled in my lap,
Elmo sings, dances, clap.
Your eyes are droppy, little yawn,
Time for bed; it won't take long.
Bathtime, bubbles, yellow duck.
Time for brushing teeth: yuck!
Sweet pink lotion, pajamas too,
Nighttime bottle, just for you.
Stories read in rocking chair,
Curled up tight with teddy bear.
Insert binkie, lullabies sung;
Snoozing daughter, soft and young.
Tuck you in and kiss your head,
"I love you, Bug; you're safe in bed."
An everyday night, but that's okay;
I wouldn't have it any other way.
