we got a new kitten last night. his name is kevin. gidget fucking hates him. she has attacked him on more than one occasion. hopefully this will improve. Also I havent seen kevin use the litterbox yet. but i've had my eye on him since we got him and he hasnt gone anywhere else. and he is eating his food. i even took him outside for a bit because i know he came from a house where he was inside/outside and the cats mostly just did their business outside. he didnt go outside either. he's a cutie, but he really digs into the couch and my silky bedcovers, which is annoying. he's also quite a bit of a whiner, although i think this is mostly anxiety over the other cat being less than friendly. thankfully gidget is declawed so she wont be able to really really hurt him.

Both cats are technically Jarod's so i dont know if i should get the kitten anything, but he needs kitten food i think and he's eating big cat food. i wonder if that is hard on his digestive system. maybe he's constipated and thats why he isnt going. also, I told jarod he needed to clean the litter box every single day or kevin wont want to use it. not only is gidgets scent already there, but kevin is not accustomed to a litter box. i think i'll just clean the litter myself and then see if jarod brings anything home for the kitty today. does anybody know if its okay for a kitten to eat big cat food? maybe its not a big deal.
