the first nice day in so long - I guess yesterday was nice, but it's hard to feel like the world's not ending with a boy my age shooting so many in Virginia, almost 200 people dead in Iraq yesterday alone, the Supreme Court telling us again that we don't get control of our bodies, our choices - this morning I didn't have to work until ten thirty so I slept late, then dragged the picnic table on my porch into the patch of sunshine, drank my coffee, read celebrity gossip instead of real news, turned my mind off for a little bit.

I needed it so badly.

I'm getting really excited about my trip to NYC next weekend - if only to be out of Vermont for a little while. it will be so good to see Gaby, Owen, Adam..

has anyone else watched Big Love? I'm a little hooked.
