The assassination of Henry VIII

I suppose if one wished to be accurate the events which trusted all this chaos forward occurred in Rome. There a man who descended from the guardian of the keys, furrowed his brow and scratched several words into parchment. The strokes where small, and fierce, as a result red ink often jumped from the quill blotting the page. As soon as it was finished sand was thrown unto the page with a flick of a wrist a movement similar to dismissing a rube, a heathen, or a heretic. The page was then folded, sealed by a gilded ring warn by the Most Holy, and away it was sent in secret never to be read by anyone but myself.

This is how it all began if one wished to be accurate, however as we are a species given to speculation it could be supposed that this all began when a child failed to breath, or when a man decided to turn from his wife to a woman amble hips, or many other times. Regardless of what caused the adventure what matters is that the event occurred and here it is written as best as my recollection can allow. However, as memories breeze in and out of my head I humbly ask the readers forgiveness if something here written is too horribly flawed for it has been nearly 20 since I first held the letter in my hand.

Perhaps it is now that I should refresh my audience as well as my own mind with year it all occurred. It was the summer of 1531 and tensions between his holiness Pope Clement and his majesty King Henry VIII were rising. As the history books are sure to note the King desired an heir and he began to believe the reason behind his many misfortunes was due to his Queen. The King mistakenly believed the marriage to be unlawful and demanded that the Pope confirm his ideas. The Pope held a trial and the matter was passed through the hands of many bishops and all seemed to be agreed, the King was incorrect, and the marriage valid. As a result King became increasingly belligerent towards his holiness and dismissed his judgment. Rumor had it that the Pope would excommunicate the heretic King, and rather than grovel to return to the grace of his Holiness and by extension God, that the King was going to establish his own Church. Thus was the position of the two most powerful men in all England when I received my letter.

Upon receiving the message from his holiness, a letter I have be forbidden to replicate. I began to devise a plan which would quickly and thoroughly  accomplish my task: the execution of his majesty by order of the Pope, in the defense of the Church, and the for glory of God.
