Cheetara is the name of one of the teams on VH1's World Series of Pop Culture, which I just saw an ad for. I haven't watched anything on VH1 for months and months, and now I'm watching one of those "I love 1972" things, and it reminds me how this channel can eat up your whole life if you let it. Also, watching these commercials for the World Series of Pop Culture makes me a little sad that I'm not hanging out with Craig these days, because we would have a blast with that.
Jason has been out playing golf for the last five hours, and I've been making attempts at getting things done. I'm going away for the next five days, and so I'm trying to get together a list of wedding things that he has to take care of while I'm gone. I'm sure he's going to love that.
I'm taking 24 girls to a dance convention this week! Mostly junior high age, we'll be staying at a hotel down the street from the Lantana in Randolph, where the convention is. I'm nervous for them to compete, if they don't do well, I'm going to take it really hard. Yikes, I hope they do well! But I haven't spent a lot of time worrying about that, because really, they're signed up, they're going, it will be what it will be. And I need to focus on the practical things like making room in my car for a few of these kids, and packing granola bars and fruit snacks and tampons and hair elastics for twenty four.
Dancing on the concrete on Friday night was alright, I did fine for what it was. There were splits I couldn't do because I just couldn't slide down on that surface, but hey, I smiled and did something else instead. I ache in a few places, but that always goes away eventually.
The Chelmsford Community Band's performance at the Hatch Shell was rained out last Wednesday. :( It was a really good program, too. They'll be performing it on the Common this Tuesday if anyone is interested, at 7. I won't be there because I'll be at the dance convention, but it will be worth hearing. Soloists Katie Renee (flute and Michele Russo (voice) are really good, and and it's free to go, which always makes things better.
Back to my car....
