why doesn´t "hey" exist in spanish, it would be so much easier

it feels like i never left. my legs are stronger, my stomach emptier from walking more and eating less. i´m really enjoying myself so far, and am very excited over the prospect of traveling europe during spring break. so far i think i´m going to edinburgh and italy, and maybe barcelona and amsterdam. there are so many places i´d like to go, but i have little money and would prefer going to places where i have friends. updates for this week: i started my drawing class, starting with a still life painting, which is great, because i haven´t actually ever learned how to paint and i feel like it´s pretty important. wednesday i have dinner (with a small group) with our director, where we go to her apt, eat and drink a bit, then go out to a fabulous restaurant. thank god for hamilton college programs. friday is my birthday, for which i´m very excited, i´m planning to have a picnic in the park. and saturday i´m going to the theatre to see "ay, carmela," the play we´re reading in my contemporary theatre class right now. all exciting things. the only thing i wish was better is the weather, as it´s very cold and wet. apparently by friday it´s supposed to improve. damn even though i´m in spain and i should have lots of exciting things to say, i never update here because i always write in my journal (non online type) and then draw blanks when it comes to writing online.
