RIP XBOX 360. He died last night...we got the red ring of death. I'm sad and now I can't play my Batman. :( MUST GET ANOTHER XBOX!!! I'll have to wait on this one...

hm. Well see what Gamestop can do for you.
I'm pretty sure they do repairs though I may be mistaken. That or they'll take it in trade (like a 'core' at an autoparts store) even though it's dead.

yeah. it's definitely a hardware issue. I'm thinking it's the fan. It wasn't working when I tried rebooting it five million times. I called Gamestop and they said they'd take a trade in of a dead 360 for 35 or 40 bucks but they don't do repairs. Thanks for your help!!!

35/40 is decent. that'd drop an Elite to around $260. Getting a used/refurbed one isn't much cheaper as far as i can tell from their site. The one they offer there has no HDD and I don't know if they take dead ones with the HDD or if you keep it. Keeping it would be ideal since all your data is on it!

I'd keep it. Definitely. I saw some DIY things online but who knows if that'll really fix the problem and for how long. I'll save up in the next couple of months to get one. It shouldn't be that bad since Max and I will split the cost. I already called my aunt cause she was the one who bought it for us one christmas and she didn't take out an additional warranty. Well, I love the 360. I was hoping this wouldn't happen since PS3s went down in price significantly!!! :)

Haha...yeah...the time limit thing is tough but the replayability is fun since you can just kill zombies and if you do certain things you can unlock rediculousness like a megaman suit! I love it!!! I like the fact that the 360 has a lot of zombie games like dead rising and left for dead. They're coming out with a new dead rising in vegas and I heard the online play for both games were much more fun!
