Bonjour tout le monde! Je suis fini avec ma premier composition pour cette annee! Je suis tres tres heureuse!
Anyway...
Life is good! I <3 CMU a lot. I am currently attempting to get out of my housing contract so I can move into an apartment...which is very exciting! I'll be saving THOUSANDS if I move into an apartment so I'm praying that residence life lets me out of my contract!! EEK!! I am hoping to move into the complex Katie is living in, which would be extremely exciting, although I would be a little further from Jeff, but I guess I'll live. It's been really nice being closer to him. One of my current roommates is weird...won't go into details...but definitely weird and wasn't fun to live with for the first week and a half unti our other roommate moved in. She's nice, but nothing beyond an aquaintance probably.
I had an interview for a "student assistant" type job last week which I am hoping to get, however I'm up against over 50 other people so I'm definitely not crossing my fingers.
Classes are good so far, definitely more homework than I had anticipated, but that's alright because I know I'm going to learn a lot more in these classes than I've learned in my previous ones, so in some ways I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do. My French class is exceedingly difficult, it's pushing me a lot harder than I expected, but I also know that I'm a little behind due to super easy classes where I feel like I know more than the professor. Two of my journalism classes have a CRAPLOAD of homework every week...speaking of which I just remembered hw I should be doing right now haha.
Next weekend it "Parent's Weekend" which I'm really excited about...who knows...I could be moving into an apartment by then! My parents are coming and so are Jeff's. We're playing Akron on Saturday afternoon which should be a good game. The Boston College game was incredible last weekend, such a heartbreaker!! But anyway, the parents are coming so it should be a fun weekend.
Julie e-mailed me two Friday's ago saying she'd try to call me in a few days and it's been over a week...it's slightly frustrating, but whatever I guess. I'm hoping Dani will come visit sometime this year, maybe Siblings Weekend in February, we'll see.
29 days till my birthday and counting!!
