Surgery Update
Everything went well this morning. The doctor was able to repair the damage and also remove the fairly large cyst that was positioned on the side of my knee. I am in a limited mobility wrap from the top of my thigh to my ankle. Its amazing how much you need to bend your leg, even slightly, for everyday tasks (i.e. riding in a car, going to the bathroom...). I need to keep this on for the next 3 days and then Ace bandaged another 5 days until I start physical therapy next week.
The pain is minimal when I remain still. Walking poses a challenge still but I am sure every day will get better. My doctor also informed me that I will be lucky if I can return to work for Black Friday (ie retail hell, biggest shopping day of the year, the day after Thanksgiving). I hope I will be recovered by then and able to work it. Its always crazy busy but usually lots of fun! Damon says that I should milk it for as much time off as I can get, considering that I get diability now and I will be getting paid 70% of my paychecks while out of work. I am just happy that I will be off for the whole week that my parents are here!
