In memory

Sad news abounds. The little guy from the previous post has passed away as well. Utter shock is the only way I can describe my feeling about it. That, and sad sympathy for the loveliest surrogate sister of the summer. I have no idea how to help or how to approach the entire situation. I'm hoping that my presence is making up for my silence, as I don't know what else to do but be there should she need me.

Though the time was short, my brief encounter with him was awesome. Such fun. The best euchre partner with whom to lose I've ever had the pleasure of playing with. We got drunk together via our lack of card-playing skill, and he gave me a bottle keychain that has adorned my purse since that day, and has always made me smile to remember him and his tattoos and nipple rings and big smile. Seems silly to say after only having the one short meeting, but I really enjoyed his company and thought he was a great guy - tons of fun and a sincere character, and I appreciated his friendliness and his offer to walk my drunk ass home even though he didn't have a clue where he was going. It saddens me that we didn't all get to share another night like that July long weekend. I will always remember it so very fondly.

Cheers to you CNW...RIP.
