Advocacy Campaign

Hi all! There were so many things happened to me recently especially about our advocacy campaign. Before that, today is my grandfather's birthday! Happy birthday, Grandfather! I hope you're still alive. But then, you're in heaven, I know there's no pain there. Happy birthday again!

So, let's talk about our advocacy campaign. I and my five friends have planned to make an advocacy campaign online. We're going to make our own blog site and a Cause account. This advocacy aims to educate and sensitize many people about the existence of the Persons with Disability. And soon, we're hoping that we would top companies and other organizations for employment. I'm also wishing many people would support this campaign not only by their viewpoints but also with their understanding and acceptance.

Last Friday, all of us already finished the initial articles for the newsletter which is supposed to be published next month by our coordinator. I hope I did well on it. I hope I expressed my thoughts clearly.

Yesterday, we made conference call on skype. We had talked about our name for the blog and Cause account. We also thought about our logo. Everything was prepared to present to our coordinator so that he can approve it if ever.

But then, today, we're supposed to have meeting. However, it didn't push through because of many reasons of our two groupmates. Actually, those reasons were not valid for us. If they're looking forward to fight for the rights of the Persons with Disability, they should also fight for their beliefs. Everything has started at a little action.

I hope our coordinator won't think we're not serious doing this. He's very initiative and optimistic in doing these sorts of campaigns. I hope this campaign may happen and would have a fruitful result.
