(no subject)
Hmm....thought I would update. Nothing better to do with my life right now.
So lets see.....this semester so far has involved living with a boy, spending the night in the ER and lots of German.
This semester I am taking a whopping 17 hours. Yes...thats a lot. I wanted to take more...but my parents stopped me. What they don't realize is that the courseload I have now is still lighter than the load I took for FOUR years in high school. My classes are as follows...
COMM 335 Intercultural Communications
GEOG 201 Geography of Global Villages
POLS 207 State and Local Government
KINE 199 Bowling (Just so I had more than 16 hours, 16 didn't seem like enough to me)
GEOL 101 Introduction to Geology
GERM 321 German Culture and Civilization (This class is lectured in German, all my readings are in German and my papers as well...its basically a study of German literature starting at the Enlightenment)
Plus throw a lab in that mix. Calls for a pretty hectic schedule, eh?
So...living with a guy. Its been awesome. We pretty much go our own ways. But do make time to hang out. We watch American Idol and Lost together. However...his ex girlfriend is freaking psycho and hates me. Go figure. The apartment is always clean, which is cool. We take turns cooking and trade off doing dishes (he loads, I unload and so on). He loves my food. And is just a cool guy all around. Definately easy to get along with, and he doesn't smell weird either.
Hmm....night in the ER. So I had a sore throat one morning, but basically ignored it for about a week and a half thinking it was allergy related. When it didn't get better, and got worse instead (to the point of not being able to swallow, talk, or yawn without screaming in pain) Landon (roommate) took me to the ER. Where I found out that I had a raging case of strep throat, and a tear in my throat. So they gave me vicodin, a huge shot of penicillin in my hiney, and told me to stay in bed for a couple of days. And now I am feeling much better. However, I came home for the weekend and my sister has the flu. So now I am taking bets as to when I get that. Takers?
Reunited with an old friend. Makes me happy that we are talking again. Best friend a girl could have! I missed ya kid.
I guess thats about it. Nothing else to report. I am seriously thinking about ending this journal. Or cleaning out my friends list and making it a private friends only journal.
