I must have a secret admirer in the 54B district court
My last ticket was a two point speeding ticket. At the time I had ten points on my license with two more points I faced loosing it, so I was going to fight it. I had my court date, I got out of work early and on my way there I got a call telling me that due to the weather the court house was closing early and could we settle this matter over the phone. That was fine with me, so they said they would reduce the ticket to one point (leaving me with one point before I loose my license) and I would have to pay $160. Fine I don't care just reduce the points. So I figured I was safe, I had one point to go. Then I get a letter in the mail telling me I need to come in for a driver reassessment test. I think its a bit weird because I don't have twelve points I have eleven but whatever I'll go and find out whats going on and if I have to take the stupid test I will.
Well the test was spoused to be today at 10am I arrive exactly on time and wait around for somebody to come get me. The guy comes out of his office and says "Michelle come in here I have something to tell you." I'm excepting the worst. He tells me that my reassessment has been canceled, then rambles on about "abstract information" and other stuff. I finally figure out that my last ticket was thrown out completely meaning no points on my license and no $160 fine!!! So I'm still two points away from needing to be reassessed! I don't know how it happened and I don't care! Somebody in the 54B district court must love me or somebody screwed up either way I'm not going to question it. With my luck they would realize that there was some clerical mistake and fix it. I turned in the money I found at Crunchys, when the girl at Fazolies gave me the cost of my meal as change instead of charging it to my card I told her, I am not doing that this time!!
