Wisin y Yandel

10/10/09-Wisin y Yandel @ the Staples Center.Last night was my very first concert in a big venue, and with a big artist like Wisin y Yandel. They are a Reggaeton duo that started in Puerto Rico and exploded with their first hit in 2005 "Rakata." Since then the boys have taken the world by storm with their songs. Personally, I just love these two guys because they have so much energy in their performances. Add the fact, that they are hella sexy. The concert at the Staples Center was their second. It wasn't as packed as before(my cousin went last year and told me),but nonetheless it was packed. The intro was completely suspenseful, the screen TV had a little movie of a dystopian world, where the only hope were these two guys. At first they don't show them, but the setting, kind of like LOST the TV show, with a jungle, old buildings, crashed planes. There is a war going on. Then Wisin y Yandel are being held in a jail like room. (OMG their costumes. They had an ARMY muscle shirt, and jeans with boots) So then Yandel opens the cell door, and then you see them elevate up to the world. As they see the light.BAM! They pop out! First song was La Revolucion.( I mean duh! That is their new album) and then they had Quitame el Dolor and Pam Pam. Encendido was one of my favs because Yandel was thrusting the whole entire time, dancing. He is such a good dancer! Wisin was Wisin, rapping and going all over the stage. They played Mirala Bien, Rakata, Besos Mojados, Tus Sabanas, Me Estas Tentando, Gracias A Ti, Abusadora, Mujeres en El Club. And a surprise guest was Tego Calderon. At this point I was soo hyped, that I started screaming my lungs out. CAUSE I LOVE TEGO. I was jumping up and down. I couldn't believe he was there. And they sang the duet. And everyone was like TEGO!TEGO!TEGO! and he just bowed down, and I was thinking" NO TEGO! That's what we are suppose to do!" Franco el Gorilla was there as well as Gariel. I danced sooo much I was on my heels and I didn't even feel the pain. If it wasn't for my heels I probably wasn't going to be able to see. I screamed and screamed and sang the songs. And there were so many drunk people at the Staples, that seeing them dance and do funny things added to the amount of fun I had.  Overall, it was a good concert, I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the Staples, they really are true artists. Next up is Aventura December 15th @ the Staples too!(Sadly, I don't have any pics, because my camera broke, hopefully for Aventura I do though!)
