I am so impressed and thrilled with how this turned out. It was just incredibly cute and charming and TOUCHING and funny and sweet and sad! It made me cry in at least three different parts but oh gosh did it also make me laugh. When Pavel held Hikaru's hand after the fight, and how PROUD he was to learn how to say Hikaru's name omg bb ;______;

And HIKARU oh jeeze. This was SUCH a great portrait of a real little kid with little kid problems that are no less troubling or important for being little kid problems. And Jim! I think you hit just the right note with him and his involvement in the story. I love how he was jealous of Hikaru and Pavel's friendship even before Hikaru realized how close he and Pavel were. I freaking. Love it.

I LOVED the fandom stuff. My heart actually leapt into my throat when Hikaru got banned; I love how the forum stuff came later in the story so I was already so invested in little Hikaru that it really hurt when he got banned!! It was so important to him! And the fandom drama stuff made me lol, omg, that Peter/Lazarus banner is the funniest thing I've seen in a while!

He wants to hear him say that a million more times, gah-lex-ee kwest.

This is one line out of a billion that KILLED me.

Holy shit I love this fic, I've already read it three times and now I'm watching Galaxy Quest on youtube D:
