The Sacramental Economy
I was looking over, Goddess help me, the Catechism of the Catholic Church in order to wittily reply to something disccub had mentioned... WHEN
I came across a heading in the table of contents, "The Sacramental Economy." I thought that was pretty starkly put, but exactly right on. You see, I've been describing Catholicism for decades as "balancing one's celestial bank account": you hope like hell (!) that grace points will be deposited faster than you can make sin withdrawals.
Guess I had a better understanding of it than I realized.
