Went in this morning at 6, after spinning about a 270-degree involuntary arc on First St. in Cheney. Good thing there was nobody much else on the road! The snow-dervish thing always makes me hyperventilate afterward.
In the kitchen I found an 8:45 catering order for 25 dozen donuts: 15 dozen raised, 10 dozen cake. Found no donuts in the dry storage box or the walk-in. Thee donut delivery boy came and brought the customary three dozen, despite my cries of "Is that all I get?!" I told the catering woman as soon as she walked in, after trying to call the bakery to no avail. I pulled frozen cake donuts (I know, gaah) out of the walk-in freezer and warmed them, with some long johns. I had no chocolate glaze for them, only maple. I whipped out some turnovers and strudel and cinnamon rolls and scones and put that crap on trays so the folks at the Alumni Christmas Mass wouldn't miss their snackies since someone in our kitchen screwed up.
From there on, it was easier.
