Went to Thistledown Farms and got some seasonal produce. Then we went down to the riverbank out by Jasper State Park to pick stone for the rock garden. Came home and were putting the rocks out in the triangular bed by the sidewalk when I heard a horn toot. I didn't look up right away, because as Kevin says, my friends are not the type who honk their horns at people on the street.

Looked up to see just a flash of a little laminated sign, being held to the driver's window of a green Ford Focus, with a wave: "God Hates Fags."

This should not be as big a deal to us as it feels in this day and age, yet here we are.
