In at 6, nobody there but the bakers, also on overtime and not usually there on Sundays. Lined out the prep work and production for brunch, lunch, and Sunday dinner. Then my crew and I proceeded to get our asses kicked yet again. Open at 9, we had seen almost 800 people by noon. Bacon and chicken sausage and pork sausage and scrambled eggs and a skillet of potatoes, peppers, onions, and sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles and hash browns and fruit and yogurt and cereal and milk and pastries and then the switch to carved ham and sour cream mashed potatoes and corn and pasta salad and more fruit and desserts and then meat lasagna and chicken strips and mashers and gravy and meat loaf and green beans and dinner rolls and on and on. Eleven and a half hours with a ten minute break. The good news is the boss seems pleased so far. Another ass kicking tomorrow, or maybe a little more sanity. We'll see. At least we won't be the only place open on campus.
