Dear Erika:
Pursuant to our telephone conversation of 29 January 2010 and my e-mail of 4 June, here is additional information in support of my request to replace a missing part.
I purchased a Danby dishwasher model DDW1899WP, serial number NNNNNNNNNNNNN, on 11 January 2010. I registered the warranty, number NNNNNNNN, on 12 January 2010. (Within a week the machine was at Jeffrey’s Appliance Service in Spokane WA for warranty service; the drain hose was kinked and the machine wouldn’t empty.)
On January 14 I phoned your company to inquire about the missing part, the rinse aid dispenser cap. I was referred to the retailer, who attempted to resolve my problem. As a result, I was sent the water softener cover for this machine instead of the missing cap.
I again phoned Danby on 29 January and spoke to you, Erika, and you assured me you would look into the matter and phone me back. Then I sent e-mail on 4 June asking (fairly impatiently, I admit) for the status of this issue. Now I have e-mail asking for a copy of the receipt.
Enough, already.
I don't keep my credit card receipts. I will not involve my credit card issuer, in addition to the retailer, in this matter. This simple and inexpensive problem could be resolved in five minutes if someone would pay attention and follow through. Please marshal your resources and locate the records that I hope your company has kept on this matter. If you need a picture of the missing part, there is one on page 4 of the owner’s manual.
Cordially,
Frank Hartigan
