Do not scoff, you young people. You will turn into your parents, and theirs. Whether you discover these traits with humor or dismay, you will find yourself doing things that they did. Odder yet when the physical traits one can see going back up the family tree manifest themselves in one's own body.
I have my mother's awful talon toenails. I drink from the biggest vessel I have, just like her. I look (and alas, increasingly act) like her despised mother-in-law. I stick one foot out from under the covers at night, just like Mom, just like her sisters, just like my sisters, just like my nephew. *shrug* Nature? Nurture? You tell me. Some of these are amusing or at worst annoying. Others, like brain tumors, are traits I hope I didn't get.
