Another month seems to have gone by without an update...
Well...
First things first... Since my last update, Dooby Dunce has gone away... My little ploy to reduce his hours to near nothing did the trick and he went away...
But never fear. As with any of my past jobs, there is never a shortage of Dunces to fill the kingdom and it didn't take long to fill the vacancy (and then some...) Fortunately, there have been no additions to my immediate area of supervision and the new additions are "front of the house" (so to speak) but still equally disturbing...
Introducing Duchess and Dorothy Dunce... Duchess Dunce has taken her rightful place at the head of the kingdom in record time, bypassing any and all "probationary" periods in which it is usually customary to give them time to either grow into the position or to prove their worth as actual productive members of the non Dunce society... Duchess Dunce is the self proclaimed best server in all the land and even thinks the kitchen is part of her domain though boiling water would tax her mind to such a point that steam would start billowing from her ears long before bubbles would appear in the pot. Suggesting specials is beyond her comprehension and checking back with her guests is not a part of her normal routine, especially if she senses a tiny tip is in the works. Of course, clearing the dirty dishes from the tables is also beneath her, yet she cannot comprehend that if the guest has no where to sit in her section, she gets no one to wait on, and therefore no tips...
Using abbreviations that are pretty much standard to the industry for eggs (such as OE for over easy or UP for sunny side up) is too much of a bother and God forbid any mention of actually brushing up on her abbreviations is suggested as she simply does not have the time... Apparently she just has not got the time to do her job... The concept of 3 different meal periods also eludes her and she has no qualms about distributing a lunch menu during breakfast or even a dinner menu during breakfast or lunch. Attempting to explain that due to limited space on both the storage and cooking areas of the kitchen, it is not feasible to run more than one menu at any given time since the ingredients for the lunch menu are not ready to go at 9 am, nor are the pastas or sauces ready to go required by the dinner menu during the lunch period...
Dorothy Dunce also has a problem with the 3 meal period concept and consistently attempts to pass through a lunch order in the middle of the Sunday buffet... A practice that nearly caused her to have a new ass hole a couple weekends ago courtesy of myself... Abbreviations are also a source of stress for this Dunce, but after weeks of my relentless bitching, OE and UP have all of a sudden started to appear on a regular basis as well as the rest of the standard abbreviations...
D@#khead Dunce has flown below the radar the past month, though his wife, Mrs. D@#khead Dunce seems to have taken up the slack, defending Duchess Dunce by telling me that there simply is not enough time for her to check her tickets or check on her guests all the time... WTF kind of way is that to run a business... She's married to an owner so she really should be more concerned with the service in that place... The best food in the world is not going to make people come back if the service sucks and I was not shy about telling her so either...
And finally, Dozer Dunce is still muddling through doing nothing but holding up the wall with his ass...
Funny thing is, for some reason, if I say something to the owner that needs to be done, it somehow gets done without Dozer's help or interference...
