American Idol Results...
While I am not at all surprised, I am quite disgusted in the results this week...
I think Simon needs to keep his big mouth shut sometimes because the only explanation I can think of (other than 95% of the votes being cast by deaf people) is that Simon's overly derogatory remarks toward Josh caused a backlash big enough to put him into the top 3 instead of in the bottom spot this week...
There can be no other explanation for this occurrence and I think it's happened before when Simon made a similar remark to Carmen and she was not in the bottom 3 that week either, though she should have been...
Sigh... On the upside, I was happy to see that America's love affair with Reuban is not as strong as it had appeared since he was indeed in the #4 spot this week, but Trenyce and Reuban were so much better than Josh was last night, or indeed has been for several weeks and the top 4 should have been Kimberly, Clay, Trenyce and Reuban...
My top picks are still Kimberly and Clay and I think Reuban has been put on notice this week and Josh needs to thank the powers that be that he's still in the competition...
I can only hope that FOX takes a long hard look at their voting procedures and make an effort to make it so that the best people actually make it to the top spots for future incarnations of this show instead of having someone who is clearly not a pop singer end up in the final 4, or I shutter to think, the top 3...
