Ok one, I quit my job for real today, I start the new one soon, I have to call them and let them know I am ready to start, hopefully next week. I am supposed to start on the 25th but they said I could start early if I didnt have to serve out my last two weeks with Quick Servant Co. I am glad to be free of them, I didnt feel part of a team there at all and I wasnt getting enough hours to survive. Also the new job is so much better, I will now have a 401k, they will match some of the money in it, profit sharing, more money, they will pay for tuition to trade related stuff, and they seem like they really want me. all that makes me happy.
thing two: a rare political post for me
I voted yesterday and i voted for Obama like 64percent of the other virginia democrats. I feel confident about this election, as Hillary and Barak are excellent candidates. I like them both equally and I am sure that barring something really earthshaking, democrats will be int he whitehouse. I am only now focussed on the upcomming battle with senator John McCain. I have met him and like him personally and as far as republicans go he isnt as bad as some. BUt that aside, I am worried that something will come out about Obama that will doom him. I dont worry about this with Hillary, we all already know everything there is to know about her and like her anyway (or some because of it) so nothing you can dig up on her will stick. She is however the best motivator of republican voters in the country, they hate her more than anyone else even if they agree with half of her policies. I think it's because they hate women and are out of touch with reality. These are the same people who think the country was in terrible shape while she was co-president. These people are as crazy as Mike Huckabee or Ron paul but far less charming or funny.
I voted for obama knowing that when it gets to the convention it will be way too close to call, and the super delagaets will decide this. these party elders will know more by then in JUly and will be able to determine who can really beat McCain the best. If they stick with Obama then I was right. If they pick HIllary for the previously mentioned reasons, then they have fixed my error for me. The point here is that I will fully support either or. If someone could convince one to take the VP even better( wont happen, but would be nice). I ask all other democrats out there to remember this primary season is only a time for our platform to solidify and not a time for division. Who ever is selected deserves all our support in their effort to restore a tiny piece of normalcy to Washington*
*Assuming anyone can get congress to cooperate but that is another chapter
