Dean/Cas Big Bang Art: Damned
Another pinch-hit - this time for an absolutely amazing fic, Damned, by goldenusagi. Story is just... woah. Some of the pictures/descriptions may be a little spoilery, but not for the main plot. I don't think, anyway.
The title card. The premise is that during S3, Dean finds Cas trapped in a circle of holy fire and sets him free, and what would happen if during that year Dean was slowly becoming friends with an angel? He's still made the deal, still going to Hell, but now he has an angel on his side. Maybe.
Dean, with a pair of broken legs and multiple other injuries, crawls into a cave where he finds a man standing in the middle of a circle of fire.
I don't really like the way Dean turned out, but I love the different effects that I used. My first attempt at anything like shading with Photoshop, and... I just love this piece, especially the fire.
Dean and Cas hanging out. Not entirely happy with this one, but then it is made from about seven different pics all spliced together, and my Photoshop skills are still developing. It still captures one of my favourite scenes in the story, just two guys shootin' the breeze.
And no, those beers aren't both for Dean - he's offered one to the angel. Typical Dean.

There you go. I probably would have done more, but ran out of time. Only had about six days to do these. Granted I could have asked for more time - the mods were willing to shift us to a later date if needed - but I think these suffice. Fun fact: I posted this privately so that all I had to do on posting day was unlock. Next time I tried to turn on my computer... It wouldn't start. For once in my life I was organised, and it actually paid off. Yay! Anyway, hope you all enjoyed the art and mini-rants.
