The first time a relative found me on Facebook, I did for a moment hover over the "ignore" button. Then, I decided, WTF; if they don't like what they read they can always ignore me. I guess after all these years I have come to the conclusion that 1) I don't care, and 2) I'm ready to answer questions.

Several other relatives have friended me since then. Heck, my not-quite-mom-in-law comments on my page with the frequency of some porn stars I know. (Sometimes on the same post, which is always...interesting.) I feel..pretty good about my decision.

By the way, in a twist of the perverse, guess what fascinates me in my slow recovery stage? Food shows. I have been watching Top Chef Vegas, Iron Chef (both) and just last week something called Chopped with the dude from Queer Eye. (I like contests.) You'd think it was some sort of self torture, right? Watching food? But oddly, with no appetite to speak of, it's sort of like watching...some odd yet pretty sport. Ohh, look, he made fish chips as a garnish. Oh, cool, look at that weird Napoleon sort of thing.

Can't wait until I have the focus and energy to cook again.
