First the bad, the Dodge Ram has died at age 13. He lived a good, but hard life. He had some troubles back in the winter, we fixed him,,, or at least we thought we had. Monday morning he had a relapse. He belched white smoke, made some horrible noises, and run a very high temperature. We coasted into the parking lot at work. That evening, we came to the conclusion that the water pump trouble back in the winter had caused more damaged than what we thought it had. His motor has locked up. RIP my good friend.
Now the good, Wednesday we went shopping for his successor. The Nissan Xterra that we have had for 3 years has been good to us, and dad has a Nissan truck that is almost 18 years old with over 200k miles on it. So after looking online at some dealerships, I found one that I thought was promising, and it was at the same dealership that we purchased the Xterra from. It is a 2006 Nissan Frontier truck. After checking it out and a short test drive, I fell in "like" with it. We had to go to the bank and the mason jars at the house to get the down payment, the salesman said, "let me get some dealer tags on it, you can drive it for the afternoon." After the back and forth driving, I was in "lust" with it. So now we are the proud parents of a "Badd Azzz Truck" (Dealer's description on the website).
