Flat tires and old men

Today started out badly. Woke up, got ready for work, started driving, didn't even make it to the gate. Stupid flat tire. I was planning to change the tire myself after a few googling around for instructions. Looks quite simple. But Soupy insisted I get roadside assistance and thanks to Tinik, I had AAA come over to change the flat. What happened? Stupid spare tire doesn't match with my car >=I I'm still trying to figure out who to kill over this. Anyways, everything's okay now. The tow truck guy filled my tire up with enough air to drive over to the nearest tire place. Had to wait three hours, but it's cool. I waited at the next door coffee shop where I studied for my photography final. I saw a couple walk in there, a sexy young woman about my age and a well-dressed middle aged man. I thought at first he was interviewing her for a job, but then I noticed how he was fondling her hand and rubbing her knee. Ewww... Speaking of which, last week an old man at work announced that he was leaving the company to work at a hospital. I've always thought he was nice, decent man, that is until he asked me out to lunch. And the worse part was he tricked me into saying yes >=O When he asked me, he made it sound like he was throwing himself a goodbye party with a bunch of people. Later he approached me and told me not to tell anyone about it, that is was just between me and him. Ugh! A sneaky Don Juan! Anyways, the next day I found myself writing an awkward rejection email to him, because God knows I don't have enough guts to do it in person especially after what happened. Bleh. But thank God he's gone. I don't have to run into him again. So yeah, when I saw that odd couple at the coffee shop, it reminded me that. Ugh, I was cringing. I'm gonna call up Mike now for comfort.

IN ADDITION TO MY BAD DAY: It is only fitting for a day that started out horribly to end horribly. After finishing up a surprisingly, ridiculously tough final, I realized that I had lost my car keys. There were three possible places it could have been: my classroom which was closed and locked up by the time I figured to look there, the photography department which was also closed and locked up for the day (and knowing the assholes who work there, they'd probably keep it in there forever), or worse, it could have been inside my trunk, in which case I would have had to have a locksmith drill a hole on the lock since it can only be manually opened with the key.
And I was extra careful with the key too. After that flat tire and knowing my luck, I was expecting the worse to happen again. And it did. Fortunately, my stupidity has taken a different route. Before resorting to getting a locksmith and spending who knows how much, I wandered around the campus for about an hour (even hitching a ride with a not-so-bad-looking police officer >=)) I found the campus lost and found. And lo and behold! Some idiot had left their keys stuck on the trunk and a good samaritan had turned it in for them. And that idiot was me! Yay me! Could have been worse. My car could have been stolen instead.
To end my miserable day, I decided to treat Soupy and her panike out to dinner. Don't get any ideas. I don't wanna start hearing people say "Let's give Pauline a bad day! She treats people to dinner when she's having a bad day!"
Oh yah, I owe you dinner too, Tinik.
