What an interesting weekend. Meant to spend time with bf and then do my Christmas shopping in one blow. Instead spent Saturday taking care of a sick bf, skipped the whole shopping thing and then dealt with (well more like witnessed) some... uhh, to put it nicely, interesting developments regarding a few good friends.
Let's just say, one year ago, I was spending the holidays with get-togethers amongst close friends, eating good food in a nice, warm, comfortable environment. Now this year's holidays, there's been break-ups and fights, drama galore, and the next thing I know, that close-knit circle of friends I had one year ago had pretty much disbanded. Now I'm here in front of my computer, away from my family and friends, knitting a scarf with a chubby cat on my lap. But hey, despite all that's been happening, I know it's only a phase. I'll still spend this Christmas with some get-together with friends, though it will be with different people this time (with some familiar faces of course). It won't be the same as last year's, but I'll still enjoy it.
