Uuuugh, return of the exhausted malaise. A mal de tete chronique, if you will. (It just sounds so much better in French.) (Mainly because 'constantly tired and headachy' sounds like so much whinging.)
To alleviate this, I am watching Fantasia. It is glorious.
I mean, okay. Go back and re-watch the Sorcerer's Apprentice. 1) Mickey is in red, white and blue. Hello. I am forced to wonder how much of that character design, which has gone on to be iconic to the theme parks (REMEMBER THE MAGIC), was done deliberately to be "patriotic." Especially considering what was going on in the world when that movie was made. Hello, WWII.
2) The background colors are done to match the broomsticks, not Mickey. This is highly unusual in terms of animation, as most backgrounds are done to match the main character.
3) Nobody uses that particular color yellow in anything anymore. That sort of tan...brown...yellow...
