Due to DNS fuckery, LJ has been down for me since about 2 this afternoon.
Happy to report I was able to hold off the DTs due to this:
Five full minutes from Back To Earth, with what I assume is the set-up for further adventures. This was just released today, at the gathering in Birmingham, with Carbug, Chris, Robert and Danny. (Danny didn't shave this morning, either, so The Cat had 5 o'clock shadow, which just shouldn't happen.) Apparently all who attended were given USB drives, and on the drives were a bunch of digital goodies.
Doug Naylor, if he's behind this, is a smart, smart man.
Also, I must admit I kinda like Chris' more casual delivery in this clip. I think he's even tying that in to what's going on with Rimmer because (MORE SPOILERS) Rimmer's about to be shut off. So of course he would look older, more worn down, and would be a wee bit scattered.
Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this, and Chris was phoning this in for a paycheck. (PROTIP: Shattering your own illusions is painful, and not recommended.)
The squeak Rimmer makes near the end of the clip is priceless.
And Lister looks surprisingly good in a tux.
Further, the immediate appearance of this on YouTube gives me great hope for the full length episodes popping up there immediately too. But I'm still holding certain people to their promises to procure me a copy by certain, undisclosed means.
