1. Making plans is my way of trying to achieve a sense of security.
2. I've been a little out of sorts lately trying to get everything put back together again but I guess it is better than trying to hide behind something that makes me feel safe.
3. I have a lot of potential to improve this summer musically - and I hope that I take full advantage of this opportunity so that I can impress some people come fall.
4. I'm still trying to get things set up job-wise for this summer. I'll be setting up an interview at Beauty First tomorrow and putting up more posters for lessons at West, Hart, and Vanhoosen. Mrs. Holden has already said she'd like me to come in and do a class for the flutes on tone and I'm also going to ask her if I can just come in an observe. That crazy part of me wants me to get what I want to do for the rest of my life figured out sooner rather than later, even though the most sure things can fall apart too quickly.
5. I have been listening to a huge amount of music lately. Some of my favorites have included: Dave Brubeck, Frank Sinatra, the Pride & Prejudice Soundtrack, West Side Story, Tangerine Dream, Norah Jones, the Modern Jazz Quartet, John Coltrane, ALL kinds of classical and crazy amounts of flute music.
6. I've been painting again too - I didn't realize exactly how much I had missed it.
7. I was excited to come home but at the same time I didn't realize how hard it would be to leave everyone from Eastern behind for the summer. I have made so many amazing friends that I am incredibly thankful for!
