So today was my day in court and as u can imagine, i was VERY nervous...
I was expecting it to b a lot like Law and Order, you know what i'm talkin 'bout. First, me, the defendant, and our attourneys would meet to discuss a plea bargain. It'd b a very reasonable agreement and the defendant's lawyer would advise for it, but in the end, the defendant, in an angry rage, denies the bargain. Thus, we are forced to take it to court. The case drag on for a while until the attourney says, "Your honor, I call Justin Mack to the stand." A multitude of gasp echo throughout the crowd. I slowly stand and make my way to the stand and repeat the witness's vow. At first, the questions were easy (e.i. State your name...) but slowly, the questions get harder. Minutes later the lawyer is badgering me about everything from what i wore that day to my favorite classical music peice. I panic, I'm dripping in sweat, and as i hear the words "No futher questions, your honor" i realize all credibility i once had, had been shredded to peices. Later, the guilty criminal gets away without a scratch and yet another one slips through the justice system's fingers...
However, this day was not quite exactly like Law and Order. It started out like Law and Order. We met in a dark room and discussed a plea agreement. Then she denied the agreement, as predicted, but when i retold my version of the story and officer Darby backed me up she decided to take the agreement. Sucks. Shes on parole, the guys in jail. and I'm dying for some action. Oh well, justice has been served. PEACE!
