I think she said "toadstools", not mushrooms. She pretty much did say the thing about lesbians...she read off lesbian rights activism as one Melissa Etheridge's accomplishments and then said "certainly not the sort of role model I want for my daughter."

She also clearly hasn't seen the version of the Vagina Monologues that includes a transman monologue. (Neither has Earlham, as far as I can tell... :-/)

She spent the first 7 minutes of her speech talking about pie.
Incidentally, the pie that was served at the Successes of Feminism luncheon was meant to be symbolic, according to two of the professors I asked about it. ;-)

She referred to women's studies professors as batterers, and implied that her organization is a shelter for women who have been battered by them. She didn't say anything about what her organization does for people who aren't women, for sure. She did refer to Bill Clinton's sexual harassment issues...I don't think she called him a batterer (but I could be wrong about that) but I do think she said some pretty shitty things about Hillary. She called her "squishy". >.<

And did you catch her comment about Wilma Mankiller? I think it was "you don't see too many people with the last name Womankiller" or something to that effect. That pissed me off to no end. White people do not get to make shitty comments about Native American surnames.
