voices

I was thinking about Red Dragon recently and about how the guy takes on other peoples voices, like how they talk and use inflections and their volume and certain other tidbits. I find myself doing that when I'm around people for a while, or around someone I know really well. I wonder what my real voice sounds like. Maybe it's the voice I use in large groups? Maybe it's the voice I use in my head? Maybe no one has a nuique voice but just bounces a general idea off of others.
I love unique voices. There's a guy who goes to Okemos that is a pretty good actor comparativly and I went there to watch a play for english a while back. He reminded me of Owen Meany. Or what I pictured Owen Meany's voice sounding like. It was brilliant. I wanted to get to know him just so I could listen to his voice. Alas, the play blowed and my group left at intermission. Rather a drag, I was actually going to introduce myself to him and say he was the best actor in the play, which wasn't a lie. His voice got top 3 in my life.
