Hi.

I'm back from Breakpoint.

I have recovered slightly, but, being hit with a tsunami of awesome of that magnitude is something you never really recover from.

I am a week+ behind on comments in your journals. I may be able to get to them someday. I may also get to your emails and replies and such, I don't know. I have work to do as well, and this weekend I continue/resume coding the demo. After seeing the productions at BP I want to get something done even more. Which, well, normally I take a break afterward because it's the wall of awesome bit, but no, not this year, I wanna get something out cuz I have parties to go to this summer.

BASS gig: there's a torrent at breakpoint.untergrund.net - use that. Sorry it wasn't on Demoscene.tv - we do NOT know why they missed the first part of the party. That's mega-beyond-lame. But oh well they got the scene.org awards - hope you saw them LIVE.

On the BASS gig - the first few songs I sound horrible, Zania sounds great, sorry about that, we'll work on that, kb suggests some mike work, we need that. The later songs are good. The final song, my voice is gone for most of it and I coudln't hit the notes at all - different than 303 where I just plain was straining and I don't HAVE to strain for that note. We won't do 303 again so I'm going to put that behind me and just work on hitting notes and working with Zania on some bits over the next year. The lineup will stick for next year (well that's the PLAN, Gargaj says it won't but we'll see.) It is absolutely our sloppiest gig, but Gargaj/Jayne only had 2 weeks to learn their bits, and Elmah didn't know what to expect, and... well it turned out OK. People kept thanking me (us) for doing it, so... well, it was good. Need more .es sceners there tho, missed them in the front row.

Ok highlights for those of you not following the world of the scene:
c64 winning demo: Desert Dreams.
YES, THAT DESERT DREAMS.

real wild: EVERYTHING. Especially Shitfaced Clowns. Especially the Speccy demo. Especially the atari 2600 demo. And yes, the TBL demo, which is TBL, so of course it rules. Still, it's a shame that they're so good cuz I mean.. Shitfaced Clowns did everything right, it's just the freaking psp is nicer looking... and it's TBL. Anyway.

Amiga demo: of course the Madwizards demo. What, did you think we were dead? (I didn't have a clue either. Nor did I have anything to do with it. We drank one for you.)

PC demo:
Astounding comeback by Andromeda. Best ever comeback.
MFX does snow and ice, not explosions.
Curly and LB turn last year's MFX demo into something entirely different and even better.

and then
Farbraush turn the world inside out.

Thanks, Fiver. You so own.

(Mad props to everyone involved, ryg, chaos, kb, ronny, wayfinder, gizmo, tron... If I forgot anyone it's because I'm just still in tsunami shock. But. Fiver. Owns. All.)

And I have other things to relate, and all that, but I must get ready for going to wake up tommorrow and go to work.
