Red Uniform Love
A year or so ago I read, and then watched, Tipping the Velvet. Somehow, I managed to not make any cross-fandom associations until I re-watched a bit of it the other day. The uniform-wearing parts of this movie are now a hundred times more entertaining to me ^_^ Sadly, there's only the one bit where both Kitty and Nan are wearing them, but that scene will forevermore feature Polly and Mal in my mind. It's like having teeny tiny bits of what a Monstrous Regiment movie might look like, if it allowed for onscreen sex.
So, here are some clips for anyone who has either not seen Tipping the Velvet, or would like to see bits of it again:

And this one starts with Nan in the uniform. This is where I half wish that this and MR hadn't been partially fused in my head, but it is all the funnier for it. Don't think I can quite imagine Polly or Mal going down on random men in the street for money though :/ (contains non-graphic oral sex, set to upbeat music.)
