Polly teaching Mal how to handle a sword, and Mal not becoming an expert it in immediately, I'm enjoying that quite a bit ^_^ And the sprite!
There were one or two awkward sentences, I'd have to reread and find them. I think it was just a missing comma or something.
And it wasn't too 'my backstory, let me show it to you' that bit read quickly and was juicy. That and Polly reading Mal's mind through her thigh.

So glad you liked it. There had to be something Polly did better than Mal, and then someone to come along and burst her "expertise" at it to prevent her from being too Mary Sue. Latimer, for all his later uses was a godsend in that role.
Again I am aflicted by the roaming comma. Dang you edumacation! Please accept my most humble apologies.

Heh, one of my favorite things with Mal is that however capable and talented she is, it isn't as much as she believes herself to be. I love her 'if I'm not readily good at it, then it isn't as good as just ripping people's heads off' attitude.
