Oh man, so much yay (also, so much distraction from thesis, ngrargh.). I think I love all about this, especially the, ahem, sword practice. And Mal. Especially Mal! Polly, too, but, you know. Really looking forward to the next part!

Yhank you, thank you, thank you! So relieved it's not too "my backstory - let me show you it"

I am also rather fond of the "sword practice" hem hem. But prefer the more subtle nuances of the board game.

There are clumsy ways of dumping a whole lot of backstory on the readers, but here I thought it came up pretty naturally, so.

Glee! So happy to see this continued. Don't think I commented on the Summer part but I went back and read that a while ago and it just made the whole thing better.

Polly teaching Mal how to handle a sword, and Mal not becoming an expert it in immediately, I'm enjoying that quite a bit ^_^ And the sprite!

There were one or two awkward sentences, I'd have to reread and find them. I think it was just a missing comma or something.

And it wasn't too 'my backstory, let me show it to you' that bit read quickly and was juicy. That and Polly reading Mal's mind through her thigh.

There's more! Look at the more! Read the more! etc. :D

So glad you liked it. There had to be something Polly did better than Mal, and then someone to come along and burst her "expertise" at it to prevent her from being too Mary Sue. Latimer, for all his later uses was a godsend in that role.

Again I am aflicted by the roaming comma. Dang you edumacation! Please accept my most humble apologies.

AARRGGHHH! No. I'm putting that next bit aside for later. It should be a treat for after I'm done with things that involve me not sitting in front of the computer screen.

Heh, one of my favorite things with Mal is that however capable and talented she is, it isn't as much as she believes herself to be. I love her 'if I'm not readily good at it, then it isn't as good as just ripping people's heads off' attitude.

Though as Polly herself realises: Never mind the sword, a bored vampire is already running round a populated castle with access to a lethal weapon.

her smile?
