so im just doin some ramdom surfin, looking up different shit, letting the internet and my mind take me where they will, and i stumble across THIS:
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it is a freaking play that was on stage in london in 2002 starring JAKE MOTHER FUCKING GYLLENHAAL, HAYDEN SON OF A BITCH CHRISTENSEN and anna paquin. i probably would have sold an ovarie to have seen that, whether its a good show or not. JAKE and HAYDEN in one room at the same time?? on a STAGE?? ACTING?!?! jesus i probably would have wet myself. they are beautiful people. this play has actually attracted a lot of young hollywood...once this original cast left, they were followed by Matt Damon, Casey Affleck, and Summer Phoenix and once they were done, they brought in Kieran Culkin, Colin Hanks, and Alison Lohman and also somewhere in there was Freddie Prinze Jr, Chris Klein and Heather Burns. crazy huh? makes me really interested to read it. one day.
in other news, i've been having a GAS marathon, that is, nickelodeon's channel Games And Sports that features all of nick's old game shows...its lame, i know, but its my childhood! im actually having a good time reliving all my dreams from back then, i'd still give anything to be on any one of these shows! i mean, double dare! nick arcade! legends of the hidden temple! GUTS! it doesnt get better than that!! i do wish they'd show "what would you do?" though, that was one good ass show.
jake gyllenhaal is one sexy motherfucker. check this out:
i mean, thsoe eyes! that pout! ugh, i cant get over it. oh, i dont think i ever said in here how i saw brokeback mountain the day it came out with rich. it was only playing in ONE theatre in the entire state of michigan, so we drove for 45 minutes to go see it. NEVER have i seen SO MANY flaming homosexuals (most of the gorgeous!) in once concentrated area. i tried not to look, but im pretty sure rich had a perpetual hard on the whole time, and probably for another week after that, lol! the gay phermones were going nuts, and my gaydar almost broke from overuse! it was so funny though. the whole theater was full by the time we got there (and it's a huge theater too) so we had to go alllll the way up to the front, the second row. four boys sat in front of us, and one was shaven bald, but the other three were like ryan cabrera deciples (at least they're hair) and it was kinda hard to see around, lol. anyway though, GOOD FUCKING MOVIE! i loved it, and they got a whole lot more hardcore with the sex scenes and stuff than i thought they were going to. the performances though...just phenomenal. jake and heath just blew me out of the water, it was moving and spectacular, i freaking loved it. i recommend EVERYONE go and see it, unless your a rabid homophobe, in which case, kill yourself.
did i ever say how much i loved the movie rent in here? i think i typed up something but lj was being a bitch that day and it didnt post or soemthing. but yeah, i've turned into one of those "rentheads", lol, it was fucking fantastic. granted i've never seen the stage show (YET!) but it made me want to see it even more. i've seriously listened to the movie soundtrack and the original cast soundtrack pretty much non stop for a month after i saw it, and now just like every other cd, lol. i wanna see it again so bad but i dont think its playing anywhere anymore anyway. was it really necissary for me to use that repetition there? probably not. get over it. but yes, rent=goodgoodgood.
i also saw the producers two days ago, and it was pretty good. i was actually surprised with how much i didnt love matthew brodrick, i thought he was gonna be awesome! it was a pretty flat performance, in my opinion, especially in the begining. i watched the original 1968 non-musical movie a few days before seeing it, and gene wilder as leo bloom is absolutely perfect and fantastic, and matthew brodrick came nowhere close to really getting hte character. he just didnt have enough neuroticness (is that even a word) about him, and some of his lines were monotone and sounded like he was just reading them. uma fuckman: *pukes*. that about sums up her performance. i have to say, it wasn't AS bad as it possibly could have been, but i seriously started to gag during "that face" because its a song talking about her beautiful nose/eyes/lips/etc and i just couldnt handle the nastiness of it all. plus, she doesnt have the voice to pull it off! her accent was shit, and her singing was disasterous. i continue to hate her. nathan lane: awesome. i love that man, and i thought he did a good job...not phenomenal, but good. now the big shocker was will ferrel. he was FANTASTIC! i mean, i'm a fan of his, but i was nervous about him as leibkin, but DAMN! he did soooo good, i was cracking my shit up! his accent slipped sometimes, but nothing too bad. i all around enjoyed the movie, especially "keep it gay", how freaking classic. yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. anyhoo, thats my review, i guess...
come one, come all to hear my bullitin. i, sara, am a hypocrite. i resisted as long as i could, but i have finally crossed over to the land of the dumb. i made a myspace. i still think they're pretty dumb, and much prefer facebook, but i made one fro two main reasons: 1) there are so many bands and different shit that you can only access with an account, and 2) i'm bored out of my FREAKING skull in florida and need something new to occupy some of my time. so, here, i provide you with a link so you can check otu the horror for yourself:
