After much grief/anxiety tonight is the FCCLA pageant. I'm emceeing for over 30 girls!
But alas it should be fun, so I'm ready.

Well finally the world's a lil better between most of my friends. I understand that most of them want the best for everyone, but still it's just wierd inbetween us all now.

Tonight is Wesley's last game as a high school basketball star! I am so estatic. I won't get to see it though, but I'll be praying for him. TWO! Count em 2! Colleges are coming to watch him tonight, Samford and Berry College (Rome,GA)! huzzah!
I hope they see how great he is!

Tower Power

By George L. Jones
When talking about C. Christian Academy center Wesley A., the conversation is as simple as numbers.

Eighty is one that comes to mind. That is Wesley's height in inches, a figure that translates into a 6-foot-8-inch frame.

The tallest player in the county dominates games and opposing players with his size, and more importantly, his mind.

"Knowledge of the game is one of my biggest strengths, I think," said Wesley. "But obviously it helps to be 6-foot-8."

There are a couple of other numbers that one can throw around - 17, 12 and five. Those are Wesley's averages this season in points, rebounds and blocked shots, respectively.

And although the point can be made about lesser competition outside the public school system, Wesley would quickly contest that argument.

"I've played guys this year that were 6-foot-7 and 6-foot-10," said Wesley. "A lot of people think just because we're a small school we don't have much competition."

One more number comes into play - 3.5, Allred's GPA.

Wesley says he is getting serious attention from the likes of Auburn, Samford and Birmingham-Southern's basketball teams, but his first priority is his education. He hopes to make a living in the medical field one day.

"You just don't find a kid like that every day," said CCA basketball coach Chris J. "He's got goals and he will work hard to get there."

Aww. I am so proud of my lil bro.

Well.. I'm going to get ready! I got a pinstripe suit!
Oh and my hair cut!
I'm so pimpin.
