Melaka

was over at melaka and kuala lumpur last last week.
melaka is a sleepy town. slow paced, touristy and walk. pretty good for a budgety getaway, but it became boring after a while.
made a wrong choice in going to kuala lumpur - a bustling crowded metropolis that once again reminds me the stifle of the city that i so want to get away from.

Kuala Lumpur

carly is coming back from vietnam today, i wonder how she feels? i remember my guilin/yangshuo trip; with the small raft floating down the Li River (Survivor China, if you could remember). it was one of the best trips i had. complete serenity, sorta reminds me of 桃花源记. and in kachanaburi, a small town, with some lazy bars and restuarants that nobody patronizes - the food's actually good. you'd walk down the death railway and feelin' feelin' historical.

i guess that's pretty much what i needed now - an escapade from life, of which, is of non-existence. perhaps not an escapade, but rather to search for what life has to offer for me. like Odie, seasoned travellor who's constantly, postively and commited to live life to the fullest.  - either that, or to pray for the bloody semester to start quicky for me to once again numb myself with stuff in The Ridge, projects and work.

to put it down simply, i'm just bored of watching dvds, playing civ4 and getting all emo over it. plus the fact that i have very limited amount of money to spend makes it worse. poor time, money and life management.

personal, travel
