I was waken up at 6:10 this morning and was forced to go to downtown LA. It was cold enough to snow. I wore four layers, and I was still cold.
First My mom, Emy, her flourest, and I went to a huge flower market and got ALL the flower plans done for the wedding. We got out at arounf nine, and went looking for Emy's gifts for thr bidesmaids. We looked for necklaces and earrings and bracelets that were simple and small, but apparently they're nonexistant, so Emy got a really good deal with some guy who owns a store to have custom made ones for five people. Oh yeah, and for some reason ALL the stores had 50-70% off sales. It was pretty cool. And I found a lot of key necklaces and I wanted to get one for Erika, but I didn't have any money...
And then we went to have lunch (11 o'clock)at subway. Then we walked a lot more and found a huge wherehouse store for dresses. We bought a really good bridesmid dress (for me!) for $55(The same dress would have costed $150 at any other place) and my sister gave me shoes and I was happy. It's a T-lenght, strapless black dress. And then we went to a fabric store and got 53 yards of fabric for $75. We were done by 12.
We got home at one, and found a pleasnt surprise on my doorstep. NO, it wasn't a basset hound, but it was "My Baby Got Stole...By A Bear Holding A Shark" shirt. It's cool. Angie's sleeping on it right now. White sox looks good with my dress. Oh yeah, and I was in Little Tokeyo today. It's cool. You come from regular LA, and then you drive into Little Tokeyo, and everything's all cool and technelogically advanced and stuff. Oh yeah, and it was hilarious because ALL of the shops were owned by either mexicans, chinense, or itallian people. When we were buying fabric though, the store was owned by an indian family, and the whole time they were running around trying to find us the right fabric, but they would be wrong everytime, so we would tell them, "too shiny" or "too bright", and then the father started yelling at his daughter for being in the way when she was trying to reach for some fabric, and it was crazy, and funny. But we got all the wedding's fabric for about $100, which is extreamly cheap. If you want to buy a lot of expensive stuff for a lot less, go to downtown LA.
