Can you believe that the month of August is coming so soon. The summer has gone buy so quickly and yet it has never seemed longer. I have had a lot of experiences this summer (some good and some bad) that have made me think. Everyone around me seems to be moving on to bigger and better things and I feel like a part of me is getting left in the dust. The last week has been filled with contemplation on my life.
The things I have learned this summer:
Alternative education is one of the most amazing things to be involved in and I feel like my life is begining to focus on a specific goal (e-mail me if you want to learn more about what Alternative education is and why it rocks.)
You don't realize how much you miss people until it is not possible to hop in your car and go visit.
I have a difficult time letting those I dont completely trust into my life.
My sister is one of the coolest people I know.
Why this sudden contemplation you may ask. This weekend I had planned to visit MLC (possibly with Simon) but unfortunately my bills would not allow me to take such a long gas consuming trip. I miss the love and support that I have always found in my camp family. I was also hit on by a guy selling meat at the front door yesterday. I was in my scrubbiest cloths with my hair all tangled on the top of my head and it was really weird. I'm not really the type that gets hit on anyways so I was left feeling a little uncomfortable. Jessica thought it was really funny.
