waiting for life to begin
so i really hate being that girl waiting for the phone to ring...
but it's so hard not to do.
i am really quite bored right now. maybe i'll go shower, put on a long flowy skirt, pick some flowers from my garden, put them in my hair, put on some renissance music, go stand on my little bridge in the garden, and do the romeo and juliet monologue.
"oh romeo, romeo. wherefore art thou romeo? deny thy father and refuse thy name. or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love and i'll no long be a capulet. tis but thy name that is my enemy. oh what's in a name. that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. so romeo would, were he not romeo called, retain that dear perfection which he owes without that title. romeo, doff thy name. and for that name which is no part of thee take all myself!"
you know, something like that. or maybe i'll just go watch tv.
i need to get 2 monologues for my audition for a midsummer nights dream. i need 1 shakespeare and 1 modern. i want titania or helena and i'll be waaaaaaay lucky if i get considered for those parts. what do you think...should i do the romeo and juliet one and then a funny modern one? or more serious?
i think funny. midsummer is a comedy after all.
