I have to say, though this might be blasphemy in this crowd, Batman is so much more cooler than Harry.

Never read The Chocolate War. But like, it's funny what people think is excessive or too much. Reading amazon reviews on certain books and what not, people freak over the tiniest of things... like I read one review for a book, well reviews, I should say, where people were saying the sexual content was way too... graphic, I guess. But when I read it, it like, didn't even register for me at all. Would have been PG-13 or maybe light R, in fanfic world. Guess that's HP fandom's doing, maybe before I found it I would have found it(the book I read) offensive? Who knows.

Is it time for... BATMAN FIC? Mwuhahaha.

Oh, I wanted to give a partial rec, I mean, I just started this book, picked it up from the library, that had been getting good reviews, and so far, it lives up.

Read the editorial review, you might like it.

I havent read the book yet, but it is on my list of to-reads. Since I want to be a teacher, almost everything I read are children's books these days.

I've heard of The Chocolate War before, even though I haven't read it (yet). Robert Cormier is known for young adult books that are somewhat controversial, and dealing with issues that some people feel are too adult for younger readers. Give I Am The Cheese a try, too.

The WB art department, obviously, is teh suck. Or else it's mostly run by 8-year-olds who haven't learned Photoshop yet.

Hmm...book recs. I'm not huge on non-fiction, but I just recced a book the other day called "Issac's Storm" about the 1901 hurricane that destroyed Galveston. I thought it was a very interesting, quick read, but I'm from Texas, too ( ... )
