The Unasked Question

Not sure if any of you remember the fics I wrote last year called Tragic Little Hero and Affection. I planned to write two other short fics in the same universe and I've finally done it. Well, I've finished one and have started on the fourth part. This is, I'm sure, my subconscious searching for any way it can to not work on BLTN. Whatever the ( Read more... )

Well, this is what I get for not logging on to check my email in 18 hours. This was great as always. I love the TLH series for a few reasons. First, it seems the most in canon to just about anything I've read. It's not over-bearing with some sudden realization he's been harboring for her for months (i.e. some of what I've written) he's....clueless. Which when it comes to people, is exactly what Harry is. Second, they're appropriately paced and not exceptionally long (for those of us who've contracted HP-ADD in the past several months). Third, they show an interaction of a LOT of characters. No one is left out of any of the "action" and it reads jsut like you'd expect book 6 or 7 to read (and I think we might - if not hope - that we'll see a lot of this type of action coming). JK has been very upfront about how it's a coming-of-age story of Harry, yet we've really not seen much girl-confusion (except Cho) thus far and I don't know - working with 1200 of them a day - many 16 year old boys and girls that aren't wholly and completely overrun with hormones and the opposite sex. It's time for him to start asking the unanswered question.

(I'm moderately impressed with myself in how I wrapped that all up and right back to your story...*beams*)

PS-I'm guessing you don't need the beta job on this one...want me to chuck it or do it for you anyway...

*ahem* sorry, that didn't exactly come out right...you know what I mean!
