(no subject)
So I have completely failed at updating this thing in any sort of a timely manner. Oh well.
In the meantime, I have finished my first year of teaching and got transferred to another school, which will be an adventure. On the bright side, I'm supposed to be getting a brand new music room! Can't wait to see it.
I also moved to a nicer apartment in a slightly sketchier area of town. The old apartment flooded back in December and is currently being renovated, so the roomie and I needed to find a new place. The new place is a bit smaller and much cheaper, and it was recently renovated and has central air. :D The immediate neighborhood is pretty nice, but it gets sketchier as you go north or east. The roomie left her iPod in the car one night and somebody smashed her window to get it, but that could happen anywhere.
Other than that, nothing has really changed. Life's been pretty quiet, as usual. Although if you're ever in New Orleans, I highly recommend that you take a tour of the Old New Orleans Rum distillery. $5 for a cocktail, tour, and tasting! Plus it's really good rum.
