Lord Bowser, I've some errands to attend to so I'll be gone from the mansion for a few hours. I'll be back before dinner time, though! And I'll have my journal in case you need something.

[It should have been filtered to just Bowser, but something goes wrong, the nerves betray her and it ends being a public message for everyone to hear. Those with ( Read more... )

[Though Lizzie has been off her radar for a while, mostly due to Bern's lamenting of one of more interesting people in Luceti leaving being related to the girl, once Bern catches sight of her entering the dome she wonders for a moment if she should pass by and ignore or not.

Then she sees Chomp following behind. Oh boy.]

I don't think pets are allowed, Elizabeth.

[By now she has noticed that Chomp was following, and gave up on trying to send it back home when the creature started to look hurt due her attempts. So she's not surprised about the reference, but more about what Bernkastel says.]

E-Eeeh? They aren't allowed?! Why not?

[She hadn't thought of that.]

[She giggles]

I lied. The reaction on your face never gets old.

[... Oh... Oh, way to make her feel embarrassed now.]

Oh, I see... That's good then, she doesn't want to listen to me.

[Sob.]

Really? Why not tie her up then outside the building, if she will be such a hassle? That is what most people do with such rowdy pets.

B-But she's not a bad girl! She's just so affectionate and she's worried about me, she doesn't want me to go around alone and without protection. Tying her would be cruel and unfair for her if she hasn't done anything bad.

It would be so you can keep her in one place, so you wouldn't be distracted. [...Actually wait-] Why are you here anyway.

[Uh, why she's here... There's not much she can say unless she goes out to lie.]

I... I thought I could come and practice a bit...

...Practice? I didn't realize you wielded a weapon.

[It isn't as much because Lizzie is a girl or a small one at that, but just the general timeline her and Ciel came from. It was not a time where women were considered to be warriors.]

It's a family practice, kind off. And my mother insisted on it either way.

[Her mother is a woman who adheres to rules very strictly but she isn't one who will bent to certain things either or who will accept that a woman has to be weak and protected.]

So you are not subjected to be a boring lady, who sits and simply looks appealing to the eyes of others. How fortunate for you, given your time period.

I don't think that would be such a bad thing...

[Or boring.]

Uhm, our family isn't known for having women who content with only that though. Aunt Angelina was a very successful doctor too.

A doctor? How nice. Most women would only be permitted to be nurses at that time. Your family sounds very accomplished.

[Lizzie can't help to giggle proudly.]

The women related to the Phantomhive are not like "most women" anyway, just as out men aren't like "most men".

[And she can't help to sound a bit "dismissive" towards those "most women and men" she mentions. It's not really intentional and she tries to not act that way but sometimes it just is hard to hide the difference in distinction between them and most of the people.]

That much is given from what you tell me. [She pauses for a brief moment.] You know how to fight then? Are you well-versed?

[Lizzie nods.]

I have been training since I was pretty young, so I'm definitively not bad.

[Actually according to people she's a genius with the sword and pretty strong, but Lizzie won't repeat those words.]
