Let's see... Is it working now? Hello? Anyone out there?

[Some rustling sounds as Lizzie makes herself comfortable and checks once more if the journal is working.]

Well, I'm not sure if this is working but I'll give it a try!

[Shows a big wide smile to the journal.]Greetings, Luceti!! My name is Elizabeth Middleford and I'm very pleased to meet ( Read more... )

[mfw you said you're Ciel's fianceé]

Yes he could do with smiling a bit more, Miss Middleford.

[Well, she's his fianceé after all.]

Totally! I always try my best to make him smile but he's just so grumpy and gloomy! Even his wings are black here, I can't believe it.

[...oh god. It's like Bern hit the troll bait jackpot.]

He can be very resistant to change from what I gathered. What have you tried before to make him smile?

Yeah, he's very stubborn, I don't know where he got that, honestly!

[Probably from his father. Given that Lizzie is stubborn herself and her mother was his father's sister so...

Lizzie hums as she thinks.]

I'm always trying to cheer him up and build new happy memories with him. I decorate his mansion with cute and happy things, give him tons of sweets, play with him at anything I can think of... I also organized a ball for us both and the people in his mansion too, I would have wanted to make it bigger but there wasn't enough time.

You said how his mood always appears gloomy and dark. If you change his attire to something with brighter colors then I'm sure it can take an effect on his mood.

[Nodding here, that's so true.]

Totally! That's why I also try to decorate his place with bright and happy colors, you know? But all he does is frown and be even more grumpy! And say something like that it doesn't suit him or something!

Well, it's true that dark colors would suit him better but still a contrast wouldn't be ba-

[Contrasts. A contrast between dark and bright colors. Ciel would always go dressed in dark colors and she in brighter colors in order to match and suit each other but... Her wings are golden, a bright color, and his are black.

Wait for it...]

OH MY GOD, THAT WOULD BE SO CUTE!!

Of course!! His wings are black now, if we dress him in dark colors he will just be like a walking shadow! I have to get him bright colors like white and gold! And he can't say it won't suit him because white suits with everything when there's a good deal of black!

[Ciel in white and gold. Oh Elizabeth, bless your heart.]

An excellent idea. You have quite an eye for aesthetics, Miss Middleford.

[And she would be dressed in black with white decorations. Maybe they could add yet another color in the accesories? Ah, so cute and elegant!]

You think so? I just like cute things.

[Though she does have peculiar senses regarding what's cute and what not some times. Not as bad as Rena does thought. Then again, Lizzie works with the idea that anything can be cute.]

Ah, I could decorate the house with those colors too. White and gold and silver... No, silver is too dull and there's white already. Ah! Some light red and green could work...

It may be a bit too much for everyday's decoration thought.

Red and green are festive colors for Christmas. So it would certainly be in season to do so. [Do it Lizzie. Make Bern proud.]

I know!! We could make a Christmas party!!

It's perfect! It would be so elegant, and we could invite the whole village! The perfect way to properly introduce ourselves and all!!

It would definitively cheer Ciel up!

That sounds like a splendid idea.

However -- I think I have an idea to make it more special. [giggle] Do you wish to hear it?

To make it more special? Like making it a surprise by not telling him?

What's your idea?

[She's totally into this.]

Something along those lines. Specifically - make it a surprise party for him. You can invite everyone in the village, especially those he knows well, and they can meet you both. Maybe you can even hold your marriage that night. [HEH]
