Time is a funny thing. I was going through my calendar yesterday, planning out the rest of the semester, which made me realize how little time I have left here in Bologna. Three months. I've been here for five, but it certainly doesn't feel like it. It seems like I just got here and I'm already running out of time to go where I want to go, see what I want to see and do what I want to do. I want to go to Sicily and Cinque Terre and see some of Tuscany besides Florence. I want to go to Prague and Budapest and Berlin, and try out these Croatian beaches I've heard so much about, but I'm simply not going to have the time. It's all going by so fast.
On the other hand, I can't believe it hasn't even been a year yet since I graduated from college. It feels like it was a long, long time ago that I went to UH, lived in a dorm and had a meal plan. My life has changed so much since then (and generally for the better) that my UH life seems to belong to some distant epoch shrouded in the mists of time rather than just last year. I think that means I'm happy.
